Adapted from our end-of-year newsletter

Hi everyone, Jo here! Wow this year has flown by; I can’t believe I am writing up an end-of-year summary post on the last day of this decade - so fitting right? As every year comes to a close, I like to sit back and reflect on the ups and downs, achievements and set-backs, initial goals and final outcomes etc.

This year is no different.

Aspire to Her started as a platform to impart the sage advice of brilliant female leaders to you all – ambitious women launching meaningful careers. As recent college graduates, Sasha and I started this community to connect with both our role models and other career obsessed women. Thanks to all of you for reading our content, sharing it with your friends, and attending our events – we’ve met some of the coolest, most ambitious women we could ever dream of befriending – both online and in-person.

We hope Aspire to Her provides a sense of community for you – that you're not alone in your career path, and that it's okay to not have it all figured out. We’re figuring it out together.

I’m getting a little too sentimental writing this so let’s just jump to our *year in review* 😊 To everyone that is on this journey with us of building our community, I wanted to share some milestones we’ve achieved this year:

  • Kicked off our live community in July 2019 with 100+ NYC attendees

  • Partnered with four companies to host intimate gatherings (Accenture, M. Gemi, ClassPass, BCGDV)

  • Interviewed and shared the career stories and advice of 25+ female leaders

  • Published 20+ articles on career topics

  • Featured in thecnnekt, strategy.girl, Michelle Reed’s & Michelle/Aline Dufflocq’s YouTube channel

Our team is drumming up plans for 2020 to grow and strengthen our community of bad-ass businesswomen, but before we start sharing more updates in 2020, I would like to impart a huge thank you to our team and community for an incredible 2019. Another thank you to all of our friends, family, and supporters - couldn’t have done it without you all!

We (Sasha, Jordan, and I) were incredibly fortunate to be invited back to our old stomping ground (Vanderbilt University) to host a Female Founders Panel at Vanderbilt’s Entrepreneurship Conference. In addition, I will be sharing our journey founding Aspire to Her our senior year in college, how we balanced it with full-time management consulting careers, and general advice on life after graduation at the Young Professionals Panel.

If you’re in Nashville, we hope you’ll join us at the conference! Ticket link here.

Until next year,

Jo
