Grow Your Career Program


The Grow Your Career Program, with volunteer support from BCG Digital Ventures women, is a 10-week virtual professional development program for women early in their careers looking for a career change

Decisions made early in one’s career can set women on trajectories that increase the likelihood of long-term career success.

The Grow Your Career Program will provide you with a peer community, 1:1 mentorship with BCG Digital Ventures women volunteers across all cohorts / enabling areas and professional development workshops, including exclusive panels / career fairs, to assist you with your career change. Throughout the program, you’ll identify your career goals, grow your professional network, and take action in navigating a career change, all virtually.

Mentorship

Each participant is matched with a mentor from BCG Digital Ventures Women. Mentors and mentees will meet 3X for 30 minutes over the course of the 10 weeks

Participants will engage in ATH-sponsored professional development workshops / events focused on topics around professional growth and discovery in one’s early career, hosted by Aspire to Her mentors

Participants are invited to join virtual networking events, including Speed Networking and a Virtual Career Fair

Peer Community

Participants will be assigned to a ‘pod’ of peers, who will meet on a monthly basis to discuss the professional development focus area of the month

The program will culminate with a Virtual Career Fair in which participants will have the opportunity to meet talent leads from various industries (tech, media, consulting, etc.) The event will include small group breakouts focused on how to break into a particular industry, as well as 1:1 chats.

 

Programming is focused on 3 tracks:

1. Setting Career Goals

Identifying what you want to do and achieve with your career is the first and hardest step. But you don’t have to do it alone! Learn how to build your personal brand and intentional career with industry leaders and peer support


Key Events:

  • Building Your Personal Brand workshop

  • Building an Intentional Career panel with industry experts (e.g., TikTok, Spotify)

2. Building Your Network

Attend exclusive virtual networking events and chat with experienced leaders and peers that span a variety of industries

  • How to Network with Purpose workshop

  • Speed Networking event with industry leaders (e.g., Birchbox, BCG Digital Ventures)

3. Boosting Your Career

After reflecting on your aspirations and expanding your network, it’s time to take action. Meet recruiters and learn more about landing your dream job



Key Events:

  • Career Pathing panel 

  • Virtual Career Fair with recruiters and talent leads from top companies (e.g., Google)

FAQ

We highly encourage womxn 2-5 years into their career looking for a change to apply. If you don’t meet the criteria, please indicate why you believe the program is a good fit for you in the application.

The last day to apply is 11:59PM ET Sunday, September 20th.

We're looking for individuals with a strong passion for learning. Applicants should be excited to explore making a change in their career, growing their skill set, and expanding their network. No specific skills are needed to be accepted into the program. We are looking to bring on a diverse set of participants with different professional backgrounds.

This program will take place virtually. We will operate in the Eastern time zone. It will launch on Wednesday, October 7th and be completed on Thursday, December 10th. Events will take place on weekdays - likely Mondays or Wednesdays - in the evening (after 6:30 PM ET).

We understand most applicants have full-time jobs. Events and meetings will take up no more than 1-2 hours per week.

Once accepted, you have 48 hours to pay the $245 program fee and confirm your participation in the program.
